The Eagles won a 49-45 thriller against No. 31 Southlake Carroll to advance to
the Semi-Finals to take on Allen. Allen's only loss on the season was a three
point defeat against Coppell who DeSoto bounced out of the playoffs three weeks
ago 42-14.

University (12-0) Ft. Lauderdale
University laid claim to Florida's 3A State Championship with a 24-17 win over
Madison County. The Suns marquee wins this year came against Ohio's
Trotwood-Madison, Madison County, and American Heritage.

against Coatesville. Coatesville has a high powered offense, but they tend to

Butler put the cherry on top of a terrific season with a convincing
56-28 win over Jack Britt to claim its State Championship.

De La Salle (14-0) Concord, CA
De La Salle is a team you want to face early. By this time of year,
their option offense is a well oiled machine. Folsom brought a 14-0 record into
their game last week, and De La Salle crushed them. The Spartans face Centennial
this week in the Open Division Championship. De La Salle has made a mockery of
Southern California's best in this game the last several years.

Good Counsel (11-1) Olney, MD
(11/19) Good Counsel made good on its rematch with DeMatha for the WCAC
Championship in a 26-14 win. Good Counsel lost its first game of
the season before running off 11 straight including wins over Gilman,
Dematha (twice), and St. Joseph Regional (N.J.).

Steele hadn't been challenged in months, and the Knights needed a game
like last week's to get ready for Katy this week. Steele advanced by beating a
good Brandeis team 28-12 after winning its last two playoff games by a combined
score of 85-0.

Hoover had beaten Opelika 30-7 a little more than a month ago, but in that month
Opelika had regained confidence knocking off powers Daphne, Auburn, and Carver.
It didn't matter; Hoover kept getting better too. The Bucs stomped Opelika.

Norcross finished off South Georgia beating Colquitt County 41-27 after
eliminating Camden County two weeks ago. The Blue Devils now must face a
surprising Lovejoy team in the Dome for the State Championship in Georgia's
largest classification. Lovejoy's lone loss on the season was to the Colquitt
County team just outed by Norcross.

Manatee ran into perennial power Aquinas just as the Raiders are
starting to get hot. Aquinas lost two games earlier in the season, but
the Raiders have grown up since then sending Manatee home before they
were ready.

Archbishop Moeller completed its own 2012 season comeback. After being
ranked in the Top 10 early in the season, the Crusaders dropped three
games before coming together as a team to beat powerhouses such as
Louisville Trinity, Colerain, and Whitmer.

Central got a fight from unbeaten Naples, but in the end, the Rockets outscored
the Golden Eagles. In what might be the best matchup in all of Florida's State

knew, that the Archbishop Moeller playing after Halloween is a different

Centennial took out Vista Murrieta two weeks ago and jumped on Narbonne early
before winning a dog fight 41-34. The Huskies balanced attack will need to click

Poly continued its amazing run through the playoffs with a win against Central
Section heavyweight Clovis North. Poly will face a redemption candidate in its
own right in the D1 Bowl Game against Granite Bay. Like Poly, Granite Bay lost
three of its first four before righting the ship and reeling off 11 straight
wins. The Jackrabbits are a different animal than what Granite Bay has faced the
last three months.

Allen grounded a high flying Skyline team in a 37-17 showdown of Top 50 teams.

(11/26) American Heritage saw its season come to and
end, but there's no shame in losing to a team as good as University. The
highlight of the Stallions' season was its 9/7 win over Armwood.

Aquinas (12-2) Fort Lauderdale, FL
Aquinas is no stranger to the Top 50, but after losing two games early in the
season, the Raiders had been missing for a while. Like many perennial powers
like Poly or South Panola, it seemed only a matter of time before the Raiders
got it going in the right direction. Knocking off the No. 1 team in the nation
and a 12-2 record gets Aquinas back in the Top 50. Now they'll take on Lincoln,
who was in the Top 50 for most of the season before losing to Godby at the end
of the regular season.

same. Ensworth won their State Championship beating Memphis University

(11/19) Gilman left little doubt this time. Calvert Hall gave the
Greyhounds a scare in a 24-14 Gilman win on 10/22. This time Gilman left

(11/26) In an old-fashioned slugfest, Glenbard West
edged No. 41 Lincoln-Way East 10-8. What the game lacked in firepower it
made up for in drama as the teams West survived a 4th and 10 from the 13
in the closing minutes, and that stop proved to be the difference.

eight straight, knocking off one of the nation's top teams.

others to finish 12-1.

(11/26) Bosco ran into the wrong team at the wrong
time for its first on-field loss of the season. Long Beach Poly
rebounded from a disastrous start of the season to knock off two of
California's best teams in back to back weeks in the playoffs. Last
week, Bosco was the victim. Bosco returns nearly its entire roster and
will be a National Title contender next year.

South Panola lost two games rather badly at the beginning of the season,

that has become stronger in recent years for football. Lawrence Central

Valor Christian had to work a little this year in winning its State
Championship. Last year the Eagles made a laugher out of the game with a
