Honolulu (Haw.) Moanalua defensive tackle and Clemson commit Scott Pagano has set a date for his official visit.

"January 12th I will be out there for my official visit," said Pagano. That is their big banquet weekend."

Pagano committed back in July and has kept in constant communication with the coaches ever since.

"Probably daily, I hear from them about five times a week," said Pagano. "Coach (Dan) Brooks came out yesterday for an in-home visit."

Pagano had discussed the possibility of taking other visits, but now plans on just visiting the Tigers.

"At first I was committed and when schools kept contacting me I thought about it," said Pagano. "But my parents and I talked and we know Clemson is the right place for me. Nothing will change my mind."

So what made Clemson the right place?

"Probably how they treat you, when I went for a visit they made me feel like I was family," said Pagano. "I hadn't even committed yet, but it felt like family. Coach Swinney is like my high school head coach, so I could tell that I was going to commit."

The 6'4" 275lbs prospect will be attending college just about as far from home as any player in the 2013 class. He talked about how he will deal with the distance.

"Oh yeah, it'll be easy," said Pagano. "I have family in South Carolina, New York, Georgia and Florida. So I have family everywhere, I won't feel homesick."

All his focus is now off recruiting and on preparing for the Army All-American Bowl on January 5th in San Antonio, Texas.

"I am playing in Army All-American Game, it's a big blessing and goes to show hard work pays off," said Pagano. "Jeff Driskel, Braxton Miller and Tajh Boyd all played in it. I want to keep working out six times a week, eating right and running. I am going to come to play in Texas."
